to protect its hiding place in the dark
The Soul stays connected to share the abundance
it not just possesses but is
The ego creates a distance to try to hold on
to the little it thinks it has
The Soul breathes easily
The ego struggles to get enough
to fill the void it lives in day and night
The Soul is at rest in the arms of the One
who created and loves it forever & ever
The ego builds a fortress to hide behind for what it thinks is safety only to be locked into battle behind it with its many warring selves
